Who we’re looking for…

ERS is looking for an adaptable Business Development and Marketing Co-ordinator to join our busy team. If you are a strategic thinker who thrives in a changing environment, learns quickly, and wants to play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence, we want to hear from you!

Our ideal candidate will have:

Your Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree or relevant training in marketing, media or a related field

• Previous work experience in a marketing or social media role

Essential Requirements:

• IT literacy (MS packages)

• Fluency in spoken and written English

• Eligibility to work in the UK

Desirable Requirements:

• Proficiency in Web Analytical tools e.g. Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Search Console etc.

• Graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite & Canva)

• Website management

• Knowledge of the construction / contaminated land market

Personality, Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone who has:

• Excellent organisational skills

• Strong copywriting skills, a knack for writing engaging captions and excellent attention to detail

• A good understanding of platforms like Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, and what makes content work across different channels

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Strong communication skills both with colleagues and clients

• A proactive, can-do attitude and a willingness to get stuck in, share ideas, learn and grow

• Is a team player and shows a degree of flexibility

The Role Involves…

• Marketing

  • Social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) content management

  • Digital search optimisation (SEO, GEO and AEO)

  • Maintenance of service descriptions within e-mags / tender portals

  • Market research and lead generation - conduct online, social media, and tender portal monitoring to identify new projects, analyse raw data, and maintain up-to-date contact and event lists

  • Digital advertising - drive performance across search engines and social platforms through end-to-end campaign execution and continuous optimisation

  • Collation of case studies following significant projects and upkeep of case study library

• Tendering activity

  • Assisting in the end-to-end preparation of tendering packages, with a core focus on developing and refining quality sections

• Business Development Support

  • Maintenance of customer relationship management (CRM) systems

  • Creation, preparation and distribution of marketing information

  • Track and record networking and exhibition opportunities to create events diary

  • Email information and support and follow-up post BD calls

  • Assisting with preparation of presentations and stand support at exhibitions etc.

Location…

The successful applicant will be based in our Glasgow office, with the option of hybrid working after a successful probationary period.
