GAS AND GROUNDWATER MONITORING AND SAMPLING

High quality data from monitoring and sampling programmes are vital for a wide range of environmental applications, from surface/ groundwater quality monitoring to accurate site characterisation for remediation strategy design or routine monitoring of ongoing remediation works.

ERS uses a wide range of specialist soil, gas and groundwater sampling and monitoring equipment, suitable for a wide range of different scenarios. Our team of field engineers and scientists are experienced in carrying out not just standard environmental monitoring programmes but also bespoke programmes in complex or sensitive environmental sites. Our work is carried out in accordance with BS 10175, BS 5930, BS EN ISO 5667-11, BS 8576 and CIRIA guidance C665.

We offer a wide range of gas, vapour, groundwater and surface water monitoring and sampling services, including:

GROUNDWATER AND SURFACE WATER

  • Groundwater monitoring and sampling (including low-flow sampling)

  • Private water supply (PWS) monitoring and sampling

  • Surface water monitoring and sampling

  • NAPL thickness monitoring

  • Groundwater chemical and biological parameters

  • Permeability testing

  • Aquifer testing/ pumping tests

GAS AND VAPOUR

  • Ground gas and vapour sampling and testing

  • Ground, landfill and mine gas monitoring, including continuous monitoring

  • Fluxbox gas monitoring

ERS can also install and maintain gas, vapour and groundwater monitoring wells. You can read more about well installation projects and our other monitoring and sampling expertise on our Projects pages.
