ERS, one of Scotland’s leading multidisciplinary contaminated soil and groundwater remediation contractors,is bucking the current market trend with the opening of a further location in Fareham, Hampshire.
The new office is the second geographical expansion for ERS in the last 12 months, following on from the successful launch of the Dundee office in October 2011.
The move comes as ERS looks to widen the geographical reach of its Insurance Services, which focus on remediation of domestic and industrial oil spills. As a multidisciplinary contractor, ERS provides a unique blend of skills and experience to deliver robust, cost effective, sustainable solutions from small scale domestic to large industrial spills.
Heading the Fareham office is Brian Graham, a well-known face in the South-East construction and remediation community. With over 20 years of experience in the assessment and remediation of contaminated soil and groundwater on projects ranging from small scale domestic oil spills to landfill projects, it was felt that he was well placed to deliver ERS’ oil spill remediation services into new markets.
ERS’ Managing Director, Andrew Mackenzie, commented; “As the regulatory environment has tightened, the need for experienced remediation professionals to accurately identify, assess, treat and validate treatment of oil spills has grown significantly.
“Client feedback has told us that local bases of operation are essential, allowing quicker response times to spills. Our three northern bases provide comprehensive coverage of Scotland and Northern England, so a base further south was the logical next step.
“We are very pleased to have Brian on board, and look forward to working with him as we continue to roll out our Insurance services across the UK.”
